Katja Wodzinski

Founder of Easy German

Born in the Black Forrest in Germany Katja has lived and worked in 4 different countries and has now settled in London. She has been a German tutor and examiner for over 15 years to numerous private students and many well known corporate clients, such as Deutsche Börse, Palantir, Coca Cola and VISA. She worked for a decade with classes of every level at the Goethe Institut London, where she also conducted exams from A1-C2. During this time she founded Easy German in 2012.

Throughout her teaching career she successfully prepared many pupils for their GCSE, A-level, IB and university exams.

Her lessons are fun and effective, helping her students to progress fast and feel confident to speak at the same time. Her students often stay with her for years, a testament to her enganging and successful tutoring style.

Uta Rentsch

Uta, originally from Dresden, brings over 13 years of experience teaching German. With a background in German and English studies, she has taught English and German at renowned language institutes and universities in both Germany and the UK.

She is highly skilled in preparing students for all Goethe Institut exams, having guided countless learners to success.

Thanks to her extensive experience, she tailors each lesson to meet your unique needs and goals. Her aim is to help you succeed in learning German within a friendly and enjoyable environment.

Marlene Franke

Marlene comes from a small town in central Germany. She completed a Master's degree in Transcultural Studies in Bremen and completed a further education course on teaching German with the Goethe Institute.

During her studies and work, she focused on foreign language education and autonomous learning of language.

Marlene is a highly experienced language tutor with a diverse teaching background spanning Germany, Australia, and now England. Her deep passion for education drives her to inspire each student to reach their full potential. Marlene focuses on building her students' confidence and fostering a genuine appreciation for the German language, helping them achieve fast progress and a lasting connection to their studies.

Kai Diers

Originally from northern Germany, Kai has taught German for over 20 years at renowned universities in the US, Germany and the UK. Currently he is teaching at top language schools in London. 

He holds a PhD in German Studies from Rutgers University, New Jersey, and has completed numerous professional development trainings, including a special course for teaching Young Learners.

Kai believes the key to learning German is plenty of speaking practice, paired with clear and precise explanation of grammar and useful phrases. With the right tools, German can be straightforward and enjoyable. His approach keeps lessons fun and relaxed while helping his students to build confidence and work hard.
